This is your Captain speaking…………welcome aboard fuckers.
This will be off topic, but it’s important to me. A friend of mine was buried yesterday. He was killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan. He was only 24. He died a hero, but he left us way too soon. Thank you John. If there is a Heaven, and if I can somehow sneak in, I look forward to seeing you on the other side my friend. You are not forgotten.
Thank you for your sacrifice so that the rest of us can live free.

I am truely sorry for your loss. We dont think often enough, how much the military sacrifices for each and every one of us.

This deeply saddens me, Captain.
John was a hero, which puts him head and shoulders above so many who walk our streets and make our laws. I can only hope that he thought his sacrifice was not a vain or pointless one. Indeed, it is a hard lesson for all of us to take to our hearts.

This gave me goosebumps. I am sorry for your loss. He is definitely a hero; we should all love our soldiers. I have two friends in Afghan already, and one getting deployed in April. Never something I’d ever get used to, but they are serving our country so that the rest of us can live freely as you said.
